I was out and about at WalMart the other day and noticed that they are now carrying a product labeled Regane High Mileage for vehicles with more than 75k miles. It's a product I've not seen before and seems to be a darker amber color compared to the regular Regane that I'm seeing. Has anyone had any experiences with this "newer" version of Regane yet or know much about it?

DNA,

I'd read what's it says on the back of the label. Regardless though my 89' Camry get a regular dise of my favorite cleaner wether its over 75K or not every 300 miles driven.

It literally has the exact same labeling aside from different SKUs. I have the different types sitting next to me and the only difference as far as i can tell is the color. And the for vehicles over 75k miles etc... Anyone out there try it yet?

DNA,

If the labeling is the same then it doesn't matter in my mind. Just add it and be done with it. How much different can it be between the two??? Not much I recond.

Could just be marketing, and a little extra 'coloring' to differentiate if from the other version. All in all, since it's the same price in my Wallyworld--$4.94--it'd probably be a wash.

BUT, if one ASSUMES that cars with over 75k miles MIGHT have ELEVATED deposits compared to cars with less mileage, the new product MIGHT have either more or stronger additives--per ounce--than the "regular" version.

Who knows. As soon as another BOGO free or FAR shows up, I'll try the new formula. Till then, I'll stick with all the other FAR BOGO stuff I already have, plus FP60 and plus.

The only really important question is which one has the highest percentage amount of PEA detergent in it for the price. Forget the marketing blather. Tell me how much PEA is in it!!!!!!!!

HM:

Additive package 20.00 - 45.00%
Solvent naphtha (petroleum), heavy aromatic64742-94-5 1.00 - 5.00%
Naphthalene 91-20-3 0.20%

Blend of kerosine and additives.

Normal Regane:

Quote:
Chemical Identity CAS No. Concentration
Kerosine 8008-20-6 60.00 - 70.00%
Distillates (petroleum), hydrotreated heavy paraffinic 64742-54-7 30.00 - 40.00%

HM is definitely different. Can anyone shed any light on these contents? Is there PEA in either?

How about creating a "Super Regane" by dumping one bottle of EACH in the same full tank of fuel? Assuming they both mix well, could be like a "Regane-a-brew". Or run one bottle right after the other, assuming that each one would remove different types of deposits that the other might leave behind.

So many experiments, so little time....

Something is not adding up.

You might look again. They give ranges, not specific numbers. Their ranges allow for 100% just fine.

I only got 55.2% and 90%! Them thar guys is shortin' me!

I also found that interesting.

Maybe someone can explain how propane, AFAIK a gas unless under pressurized containment, can be a major part in a bottle of cleaner. ??
