Decent balance of Moly and Boron. In fact is seems most additives are up compared to the SN formula with the exception of lower Calcium which should help with LSPI. Oxidation shows this still contains tons of ester. Hopefully it's Noack is still <5.

Fairly low TBN, even for a Euro, so I don't think I would consider this for long drains. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for sharing. Oxidation could be higher due to being one year old but RL has shown high oxidation before. Good 11.8 starting viscosity for a 30 grade.

Nice oil on paper. As you said probably not an ideal long drain oil but great for shorter intervals. RL virgin oxidation values range from 85-129 depending on the grade. With low TBN it would be important to get TAN, TBN and oxidation values when getting a UOA.

Mg ~ 40% of Ca content.
Zn ~ 90% of Ca content.

What LSPI ???!???

It has been stated on these pages that very high Ca content does not lead to LSPI when a favorable amount of Mg, Zn and Mo are present.

It is possible to have the best of all worlds.

no, mg isn't an LSPI quencher, but it can replace Ca to an extend and not increase the risk of LSPI. ZDDP and Mo (anti-oxidants) do keep the detergents from oxidizing....
