recently switched positions at my current job to the electrical dept and I am looking for good ear protection the company provides ear plugs of different kinds we could pull from the warehouse, but not an over the ear muff. we could purchase just about anything tool and safety wise on the company credit card. I was interested in these being home depot is just down the road from one of the plants I report to. basically wanting to save my hearing from lets say 6-8 250-hp motors and even up to 700hp booster pump. thanks
If possible as someone with hearing loss and daily use of hearing aids id go both inner ear plug and muff. I use the 3M that have the 3 ribs on them. They (last time I checked) have a graph that shows db and the frequency reduced. There is a 3M muff that has active noise cancelling as well.
