Recommendation for filters

Apparently air filters are even more important than oil filters. Can somebody recommend an excellent filter for me please, I have the 5.7 v8. Also while we're at it, I could use a new cabin filter too.

Or is everyone mainly running oem stuff here?

I buy both engine and cabin filters from Walmart, either the supertech or fram ones if they aren't available, never had a bad seal. As for the cabin filters I buy the cheaper non charcoal ones as I can't tell a difference between these and the more expensive charcoal one I had before. Maybe if I drove through downtown sewer smells or similar I'd smell a difference but I don't since I'm far outside the city.

I just buy whatever is cheapest on Amazon that fits my car (name brand....not some fly by night name I have never heard of.)

I also tend to throw these in the cart when I buy something on Rockauto, Partsgeek, etc. when you can get the low price without extra shipping.

Without the hassle of potentially sacrificing fitment in a lot of instances oem is best. Hopefully others that have this vehicle can recommend good alternatives.

I've done fine with Fram and Purolator, but I just changed out the cabin filters on two vehicles with supertech, and they were crap. Bad quality, and poor fitment.

the purolator filters in my experience fit better than OEM filters. i also really like the Fram Ultra air filters from walmart for the money and the ratings.
