hello every one 1:44am can’t sleep thinking about getting some tools to cut my grass on my new house.

In the past I own a husqvarna riding mower , Stihl leaf gas leaf blower and stihl blade edger ( I’m not good with string type. Then I moved to Texas I don’t take any with me because I moved into an apartment.

Now I own a house, looking for a set again with budget.

$500-600 for a push lawn mower ( I was looking at Honda HRN at Home Depot

$200 for leaf blower

$200 for edger ( not string type , still don’t know how to use them )

Is Stihl change name to echo ? Cause I was at Home Depot and it’s look very similar it’s been about 7 years since I looking into.

Should i goes with all electric/battery over gas . I have very small front yard. I own a house with very big yard before and it’s a lot to take care . So this time I choose a house with small front yard for easy Maint.

Thanks every one .

Your first decision should be which format? Gas or electric. If gas, that Honda you pictured is decent, and while you are at HD, look at their Echo offerings for blower and trimmer. Battery/electric? Well there are lots, and I'm not as familiar with that platform. If you have battery powered tools, maybe look into ones that can share the same battery for simplicity and cost. Until gas powered is wiped completely off the landscape (pun intended), I think thats the way I'd go.

I got EGO brand battery blower and string trimmer late last summer. I was done with some small jobs before I could have gotten the gas versions started. Already had a Stihl battery pole saw. Battery stuff is the way to go now.

I have older echo trimmer and stihl blower
There both great compared to all the other cheapos I had in the past.
I also have a 20 year old craftsman mower.

No clue current quality as all my stuff real old

Hmm I’m not ready for all battery or electric vehicles yet . But I have feeling soon or later I might go with all electric.

So with $500 budget I can get decent battery power ?

With your size of lawn and if you plan on staying for a while, I would go electric all day.
I have a Stihl as trimmer, Craftsman gas 7HP mower and gas Hitachi blower.
Seriously considering going to all electric just for ease of use.
Have a Stihl gas chainsaw that I can never get started start. Just bought a Toro Battery Chainsaw - love it for my light duty use.
PS I live on a 5 acre treed lot for reference.

Run and get that honda before they are all gone. Honda exited the lawn mower business. But is still planning to support replacement parts. In my opinion nothing is as good as a genuine honda mower (even though they will still have breakdowns like all stuff).

Get an echo PAS-225 multi attachment trimmer, and get the string and the edger attachment. Echo makes the absolute best trimmers and blowers hands down. Consider a echo PB-2620 handheld blower, or the PB-580.

Stihl has not kept up with the modern times, they have a very horrific parts and support model. You have to goto a dealer and usually pay over list price for them. No thanks.

If you have a house with property that is 8000 ft.² or less by all means try out an electric.

I purchased an EGO and I absolutely love not having to bother with gas, oil, air filter, spark plug and pull to start.

Throw in it makes much less noise and much easier to push, even though I have one of the more expensive ones with its variable speed self drive I actually like to push it for the exercise and it’s just so light and easy

Go hit your local Echo dealer, not the box store. The Echo attachments will interchange between gas and electric powerheads, edger, string trimmer, pole saw, hedge trimmer and such.

My son went with a 40 volt Ryobi lawn mower. He also got the 40 volt blower and trimmer so that all his equipment uses the same battery packs. He's very happy with it. His lot is around half an acre.
