Hey all, I have my AC going but I cannot change from outside air to inside recirculate. Last year it was working good, then I went to play tennis and had a water bottle in the cupholder that turned the recirc. button off. The next day I had trouble getting the recirc to activate, but it eventually worked after messing around with it.

Now, this season its starting to get hot and just plain AC is not good enough. Both the AC and recirculate buttons will light up when pressed and AC works fine, but not the recirculate function.

Is it possible, you think, on my Saturn to crawl under the dash or remove the dash cover and manually activate the recirc. function by hand? Then just leave it that way until whenever.

There's a little vacuum pot that moves something in the HVAC box under the dash in the passenger footwell area. So the answer is yes; you can pop its rod off and rig something with a rubber band or whatever.

However the button gets sticky and you can probably take it apart and WD40 it back to life. The little pod the button goes into must pry out pretty easy.

I was thinking, "sounds like my saturn", then I read your sig.
