Earlier I spotted this Painted Turtle passing through the yard . Looked to be around 8 inches round .

Relative(s) or one the 2 turtles in its youth ? Took those pictures years ago . Scroll down a bit for a look .

Yes , it was nearby .

Took this about 30 minutes ago of the young male under the Apple tree . You can see the start of his antlers with the velvet . He wasn't too concerned about my presence on the deck , probably grew up here . Ran off because horse flies were annoying him .

We saw a just born fawn this morning, so so small. Momma then hid him/her in the woods behind our house.

All spotted while on the walk within our neighbourhood that includes protected wood and walking trails. So blessed to have access to different wildlife. The second picture of the coyote was first for me, and I thought it was an unleashed dog. I think the last picture of the bird is woodpecker.

@vtec260 That last picture is a Pileated woodpecker. The bird Woody Woodpecker was based off of.

Great pictures ! Hear coyotes nearby , but never see them .

A coyote peeing in our pasture this morning. Not too worried about the humans even after making eye contact.

Noticed this yesterday evening while mowing with the J.D.130 . Painted Turtle laying eggs . My taking her picture , placing the marker in the ground and mowing around her did not deter her from laying eggs . Then not long after watched her go back to the marsh . Later after mowing I used a larger marker until eggs are hopefully hatched .
