My point had nothing to do with viscosity or wear. I've never heard of a worn out part time front diff. It's hard to wear out a rear diff. Just thinking it would be nice to get the oil hot enough every once in a while to maybe get rid of some moisture that may have accumulated. Although that's probably not a big deal either.
