Rear diff and front diff/tranny oil for a Audi A4 Quattro?

All i have seen is that the front diff should get 75W-80 and the rear 75W-80/90. Anyone got any experiences with oil for this system? I just want to change the oil and be done with it. It really never has to be done. So the car probably has oem oil.

Are Ravenol gear oils any good?

Ravenol is what I put in all of my MB 4matic diffs (front and rear). I used the TDG 75w110.

What year/generation? The generations I'm familiar with have been 75w90 front and rear. The only weird thing is the very specific and expensive transfer case fluid on the B8. Ravenol is the only aftermarket option (AWD-TOR) I found, still quite pricey here in the US ($65/l vs $125/l).

I would use a premium synthetic 75w90 or 110 in both to keep it simple. What is your ambient temperature range?

That thread shows there’s more to the 75w90 range than just Motul, but it’s not a bad choice.

Motul Gear 300 75W-90. If you have a limited slip in the rear, they have an LS version. You can find both on Amazon.

Motul Gear 300 75W-90 is close in viscosity to 75W-85, but performs like a 75W-90. It's made with high performance esters, and it's loaded with AW additives. It's very good stuff. I use it, and I think it's a better product than what Ravenol makes.

OP is in europe so I assumed amsoil and HPL would probably be significantly more expensive.

I did, @scrllock - right down to the bit where the tester warns not to treat a one‑off volunteer test as gospel. It's easy to miss when you’ve already highlighted the conclusion you wanted.

A B7, Motul seems like a good pick. Easy to find and a European brand. Thanks.

Amazon isn’t somewhere I would buy anything lol, they have very suspicious stuff going in their Swedish warehouse, but that is an another discussion.
