Rear air shocks on a buick

Recently had new air suspension put on the rear of my buick. Old ones had 100k on them and the compressor was continually activating. Question on the new ones I have is that the compressor activates as it should when I start the car, but then after approximately a mile into my drive they activate again for 30-40 seconds. Is this normal? Or is it a sign the new ones may have a leak? If Anyone who knows about this sort of suspension has a thought on this, its greatly appreciated.

You definitely have a leak. I just replaced the shocks and compressor on my 97 LeSabre last weekend and went through this too. After fixing the last leak fix more permanently mine will hold air overnight.

Not really an air suspension so to speak. It's an Automatic Level Control to keep the car level when adding and removing weight from the trunk. As soon as the car is level, the air compressor shouldn't have to run again until the weight in the trunk has changed.
