Not sure of the miles as it has a different Cluster in it. I'm getting a white-faced Cluster this week and will be putting it in. Looking underneath, I'd have to guess around 90-110k.

Thanks, it has the 5-Speed & I hear there was more Automatics made, so it's a little more rare.

Wonder how many are left on the road??

Black Badges......

Can't be many.. Sadly even though I am not alone in my love for the S-series, most people still see them as totally disposable. I saved all 3 of the ones I bought from the scrapyard, I know at least 2/3 are still on the road even many years later. Unfortunately you have to think with the heart when fixing a car such as these, because with the wallet, its just not financially a good move most of the time (for any remotely significant repairs)

I paid less than $800 for all of my S-series starting all the way back to 2007. They are just about worthless sadly.

Unless you know their value...Cheap insurance, cheap taxes, easy DYI, good fuel economy, parts cheap...Not everyone can afford a newer, more expensive car.

Looks nice Turk. Must be fun to drive. Like the color.

Right. I can afford most any car I want, but I like these & an mostly a frugal person, with a couple exceptions like my Boat & the GTO.

Those pictures are before -- This color really "POPS" now that I took Surf Coty Garage's Beyond Clay, Meguire's Ultimate Compound & Surf City Garage's Barrier Reef Wax to it.

The color is truly stunning now.....

I must admit - finding an old gem and caring for it, and bringing it back to life is much more exciting and rewarding than buying a brand new car from the showroom, somehow...

When our current beater/spare (03 elantra at 210k miles) bites the dust, i am really leaning towards a Satrun SC (but one with the funky 3rd side door) or an old Mazda 3 hatch or a Focus hatch...or a Golf...or a late 90's integra 2-door, or...a an old outback sport 5 door..

problem is, so many of these cars have too many miles at this point and hard to find anything under 80k or so...(my rough max mileage limit for a new beater)

Yep.

Just put in a drivers side transaxle seal.

Put in 4 new Monroe Quick Struts for good measure.

This along with all the new parts & tires the PO put into it, Red Bull should last a loooong time...
