Ran over one about 4 years ago in my SAAB 900 on the interstate at about 75 mph. It just felt like hitting a deep pothole. Granted it was a smallish doe but I was amazed that the only thing that it did was leave some hair in the grille, knock loose the external temp sensor, and pop loose the chrome strip around the front bumper.
Yet, about 9 months later I had a collision with a hawk that was diving down onto the highway and it knocked my grille clean off.
Hey, the smell can't be as bad as when a "friend" of mine puked down my cabin air intake at the base of my windshield in my old Bimmer.
