Lots of short bed, crew cab diesels that have never seen a load heavier than the missus and two rollaboard bags...
Mines a short bed crew cab diesel. In the summer it sees loads excess of 8-9000lb. Sometimes around 12,000 and more.
And while most days mine can be seen empty, it regularly yanks our 9k lb camper around. It's been "off road" as one can get in PA.
But the point is that in the truck space, unless things have changed, Ram is the weakest of the bunch. Definitely weakest in the 1500 space in payload, towing, and power.
