Anyone have one? If so why did U get it and did U get the gas or diesel? Trying to convince my better half to trade in my 2010 Ram 2500 and get a hightop version and use it to travel in (cheaper class B motorhome) and for my work when hauling big stuff is needed.

I have considered buying one myself, but my wife says vans are for pervs GRRRRR. But anyways I think they are nice and since I wouldn't need the torque of the diesel I would get the gas model. The biggest gripe I have is the front wheel drive though it would be good upstate NY with snows mounted. I may test drive both the Promaster and full size Transit.

There's a small fleet of them at my work. Most are 3500s and a 2500. All have the 3.6L gas engine. It pulls well and gets decent mpg. They are used as delivery vehicles. Now the downsides are the finish of the vehicle. It screams cheap made. If you have the windows open the headliner will bounce wildly with the breeze. The cabin layout is awkward. Cup holders are all out of driver's reach forcing you to lean over to get your drink. Test one and see for yourself. For an individual buyer you get more value in a Ram pickup.

They're FWD, they can't haul a lot. The FCA dealer experience leaves a little to be desired as well. Hope it doesn't break! The rental ones I've had when the Transit 250 has been in have left a lot to be desired-the old Dodge B vans were better (in addition to the Chevy/GMC ones).

LOL read "pornmaster" in the title.

I have only ridden in a conversion at a hotel; it seemed ok.

Upside: flat floor, tons of room, super-practical cargo hauler.

Downside: minivan drivetrain (though its admittedly probably the best minivan drivetrain out there these days- finally bulletproof after the horrors of the 1990s and the 2010s). Carries a HUGE cargo, but can't tow much of anything.

Could not have said it better. You couldnt give me any Chrysler product

We have some in our fleet in my district and they’re falling apart already. Admittedly our drivers are not held liable for anything and beat the up horribly...that being said we aren’t happy at all that our district was selected to be one of two test districts to have 300 some added to our fleet.

So what exactly is falling apart on them? Mechanical, electrical, cab trim? There isnt much but a single cab and flat rear metal box.

Tons of them running around Europe. Lots of them built into Caravans (RV's). European RV sites might be a good place to gauge peoples opinions of them.

Larger/ wider rear box and lower floor height. Better for converting to part time RV. Lots of youtube vids on these. Seen the shootouts between all of them.

Door hardware, clips and retainers, door check/limit straps.

Cooling fans inop on high speed causing overheating and cracking radiators.

Valve body and trans issues.

Besides what we’ve encountered they just plain look like a pain in the a$$ to work on as well, when the time comes for tune ups valve covers intake leaks etc.

No diesels in our fleet just the 3.6.

A DCT as bad as or worse than the Focus DCT. Run as far away as fast as you can.

Anyone else with Promasters in their fleet notice how alarmingly fast the brakes and tires wear out? It is crazy. They are in town delivery vehicles but only get 10-15k for tires and brakes. They do scream cheap when you look really closely at them or work on them.
