YES, I HAVE USED IT IN THE DISTANT PAST.
I think that other companies offer a better products with similar prices..
I'm just tired of seeing people bad mouth other products like Amsoil, RP and Ultra..
I'm not saying that it's a bad oil, I'm saying other people here bad mouth other oils without any real back bone to the claim.
I've heard things like RP is a bad oil it's corrosive, use M1 instead. WHERE'S THE PROOF? or my uncle's ford started knocking after he put Amsoil in it, use M1. AGAIN, WHERE'S THE PROOF?
It seems like 90% of the synthetic oil threads here lead to some other oil being bashed and M1 praised. Why?

My take:
I don't think of M1 as "the synthetic" in the manner in which you've indicated. I've been using the stuff since the mid 90's in applications from a built 312 Interceptor in a 1931 Chris-Craft making 450HP, a number of very high mileage 302 Ford engines, to lawn tractors and fan lubricant for computer fans
It has always kept every application clean. And upon tear-down, as close to wear-free as possible. Testimonials like the tear-down pictures posted by Doug Hillary in the past of a 500HP Detroit Diesel at 1.2 Million Km's that spec'd out "as new" on 90,000Km OCI's running Delvac 1 are impressive, no matter how you slice it.
Many of us have had a lot of positive experience with their products, so when somebody starts taking an issue with it (usually with some sort of agenda to push another product) we will give up our experiences as perhaps contrary evidence.
There is, and has been, a lot of Mobil bashing on this site in the past. It is no where near as bad now.
I've used Amsoil, I've used Redline. I have a decent stash of Redline at home. But for the M5 I'm using Mobil 1 0w40, because I KNOW it is suitable for the application. It has certifications out wazoo. I can't name another oil that has the same list of approvals. Even Pennzoil's Euro Ultra 5w40 doesn't have the same list of approvals.
Mobil has some "halo" oils that indeed ARE arguably the best on the market, the most notable their 0w40. So how can you claim there are better choices when not a single other lubricant available is certified for the applications that it is?
And regarding your other comments, what constitutes a "bad" used oil analysis? Most people on this site are guilty of trying to read too much into the data a used oil analysis presents.
What mic'd camshafts that show wear? The Modular cams? The ones who's pics, when compared to the actual test procedure pics showed that the M1 cams were actually worn LESS?
If you are going to make a thread about this, at least try to refrain from making baseless accusations about the product you are questioning the following of in the body of the question! Acts such as these indicate that you have an agenda with the direction of this thread and it is not a question you really want answers to, but rather an attempt to stir the pot and aggravate the people who your comments are directed at.
