Questions for any general contractors

My point was that they could have had this project done if they worked everyday.
Understood, but could they have worked there everyday? No, if you have 3 inspections, that could basically add a week to the timeline at minimum. Why? Because typcailly guys dont hang around for inspectors, and then go to a different job until the result of the inspection has been made. By that time, another can of worms have been opened on another job, and the cycle continues.
6 weeks is plenty of time

We paid right on time as agreed in the contract.
hmmm, that is where you messed up. No work, no pay........you paid the guy for being '"Late".
It seems the answer is that contractors are out for themselves and are not good businessmen generally.
This can be true. Who is not out for themselves? The ones who lie.
