I’m 700 miles shy of 3000 miles on my AutoRx. I know they say to go 3k before draining for the rinse OCI but I’m taking a long trip that will put 1500 miles on this and feel better changing it first. Would I be losing any benefit of not going the add’l 700 miles on it before draining?

I wouldn't hesitate to run the ARX through your trip and drain the oil when you get home.
Search the oil additives forum for ARX posts.
You may need to look back five years or so, to the time when ARX was very popular here.
You'll find that many users have left ARX in use well beyond 3K with no issues.

If ARX is such a gentle cleaner that they claim, doing an additional 800 miles should be a breeze. As many have said, it has been done no problem in the past.
The only contraindication IMO is if the engine is severely sludged.

I agree leave it in.........If it's sludged like panthermike says that's another issue.
I did 5k A-RX cleaning cycle in my 98 Camry V6 the during the second cleaning phase. The original 3k cleaning cycle didn't do much upon inspecting the valvetrain.
I suggest you leave it in longer.
A-RX even has 5k mile cleaning / rinse cycle recommendation on their site, in one of the instructions.
The only reason they recommend the 3k drain is if there was a lot of cleaning going on and the oil filter / oil is loaded with stuff.
If you are just doing minor cleanup and this being the rinse phase, don't dump perfectly good oil. Change it after the trip. The high temps and oil pressure for sustained time will only benefit your engine.
