Quality Air Hose Clamps

Not sure about the oetiker brand but those ear type clamps tend to stay put once you fix them in place.
Out of interest, why not,use regular hose clamps?

Oetiker makes good clamps, a lot of OE CV boot clamps are made by them. The main difference between single and double ear is the amount of slack that can be taken up.
You have a little more clamping range with double ear, clamping force is the same.

Go to a hose shop and get them to crimp a brass ferrule on the hose. I used to use them all the time in the hose shop.

I was looking at these Oetiker clamps, are these any good?

Any differences between the single ear versus the double ear clamps?

Any experiences that you guys may have with good quality clamps?

You don't need the whole kit, those clamps can be bought individually at any industrial fastener place. 50 cents each maybe,

I avoid worm drive clamps on air hoses because of the sharp edges. I use the Oetiker 2 ear clamps and they work very well. One tip on the 2 ear clamps - apply a bit of dish soap on the outer jacket before crimping. It prevents the jacket from bunching up into the two ears.

For larger air hoses I use the Gates shrink clamps - no metal edges at all.

I actually did this. I ordered the brass ferrules and the crimper from Mcmaster Carr. The crimper is the type you put in a vise and tighten to crimp the ferrule. You rotate the ferrule in the vise and make 3 or 4 crimps. You can then put heat shrink over the ferrule for a professional look. The crimper was about $30 and the 25 pack of ferrules was about $10. Does not include shipping.

This is the correct answer! An industrial supply house should have everything you need also.

I actually keep some ferrules on hand to repair air hoses and make fluid lines. I just use the hydraulic hose crimper with the 1/4" fitting die, but adjust the squeeze so it doesn't crush everything.

Did some transmission cooler lines for a Focus a while back that worked perfectly.
