Hmm interesting... Can't say I've ever seen it in stores though. You would expect at least Canada of all places to have it readily available this time of year. Thanks for sharing though, learned something new Wonder whats so special about that that makes it "winter" grade? Wouldn't a synthetic be more winter friendly?

That sounds like what I do manually during the winter... 5 qts of oil...3 qts Quaker State Syn, 2 qts Quaker State GB. It's my own "winter blend", seems to work well as it gives me great flow properties and isn't as expensive as using full synthetic all of the time, every winter.

With a pour point of only -30c i think I'll stick to my full synthetics for winter. Seems like a great oil for places that never see that low of temps, but we've hit around the -40c mark on a few occasions Seems like more of a marketing thing IMO

Hahaha....what a joke that oil has become! That oil USED to have really, really good specs...it was actually basically a 0W-30 labelled as a 5W-30. Now, the specs are the EXACT same as regular QSGB...nothing special at all.

Same here! I always thought it was marketing ONLY as it was, IIRC, 5W30(maybe just a thinner 5W30), IDK!

Yeah remember the light blue bottle and it said winter real big on it? I remember it shaking like water. edit: Apparently they are using the same color bottle. I just clicked the link.

looks like just another way to spin semi synthetics. Probably a good oil, but nothing special.
