Mobil 1 IS NOT Group 4....please do a search and educate yourself...most of the synthetics(M1, Pennzoil, Castrol) are all blends....

Amsoil and Purple are different animals

The oil's i listed above lets see some authentic documentation from the blenders @ EOM right now stating they are or are not! ,I'm waiting,,,nothing else will do but that,oh so there blends huh? blends of what??,proof? links from the blenders stating??

do we know for sure? [censored] no!, and educate my self..lol far from it pal.

My comments were directed at steveh who stated that M1 was group 4 early in the thread....no reason to get upset my man.. you can believe what ever you want...but there is a lot of knowledge on this forum...take advantage of it...

For most street applications, the choice doesn't matter. They will all work good. Buy/use the one that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I think when this thread was began (2005) it was still unknown what Mobil's choice of base stocks were.

If Mobil would put the spec for NOACK Volatility on their website, it would expose the truth easier.

I don't care who it was directed at my man..the point IS your off topic and you STILL have not provided any proof i asked for on the specific oil's i mentioned!,,not upset far from it just trying to get some proof outa you witch you cannot provide obviously, but since you have all the answers i'm STILL waiting....

and your the last one that should be talking knowledge for obviously reasons,i've been around here long enough i know what the story is i'm just waiting on you, Tic,Toc...

last post,,,PM me when you have your documents from EOM.

I think the direction that this discussion has taken (off topic and hostile) illustrates a point I recently made to a moderator--the duplicity of Mobil 1 and Pennzoil threads compared to QS. It would seem that even the QS threads eventually turn to Mobil 1 and / or Pennzoil discussions.

The moderators do a good job here, but as guests on this forum I think WE need to be more considerate and stick to the original topic, which would in turn make the moderator's jobs a lot easier.

Why cant we be friends. Why cant we be friends. Lol i love this site

but to get back on task, i think qs makes a pretty gool oil. I think all full synthetic oils r good. Even ones as cheap as super tech in my opinion are better than dinos. Of course some r better than others. U got group 3,4,& 5. It all boils down to how much money u want to spend but ( highest cost doesnt always deem it the best oill).

I just ran mobil one for 7100 miles in my 97 4.6 ford The uoa was pretty good. Im currently running gc 0w30 and plan on pushing it 15k then do a uoa. After that. Im run amsoil 0w30 or 0w20 (undecided on weight yet) for 25k then do a uoa. After that i will take all the info i gained and chose the oil to run in all my toys.

It may not Be the best way but its my way
