Quaker State Full Synthetic>Thoughts?

Just for jollies, I am going to run Quaker State 5-30, "full synthetic" for one OCI. It was on special as a Wally World over-stock for $3.97 a qt. ($1 off per qt.)

Any thoughts on this formula?

I saw another QS conventional oil, labeled as containing "Slick 50"

I am hoping the 12 bottles of ROYAL PURPLE will continue to gather dust on the Wal Mart shelf!

I've done 3 (or 4) UOA on QS Advanced Full Synthetic and the numbers have been excellent. I don't run it as long as most people would because I have an engine that is hard on oil. But I couldn't ask for better numbers. And they've been consistent.

I just bought some quaker state a few days ago (dino) and it didn't say anything about having Slick 50. It just says Quaker State Peak Performance. I put some in my Altima before I sold it and it ran fine with it. Never did any UOA's though.

It is the Quaker State High Milage oil that has Slick 50.

And not much of it, either.
Just enough so they can put 'slick 50' on the label.

-shrugs- I see no point to the high mileage stuff. I put in the regular peak performance my old Altima at 128k and it ran just fine.
