My first post on here so here goes nothing,

PurolatorTECH TL14612 off a 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5i with 155k miles on the odometer. Filter had roughly 5000 miles on it and was running Supertech Full Synthetic 5w-30. I think the build quality is very good for the price. Pleats are evenly spaced with metal crimped seam and metal end caps. Filter media size is pretty good too. Only downside is the nitrile rubber ADBV. It was pretty stiff and didn't appear to be sealing anymore. Overall for $2.40, I'm very happy with this filter. I will be using another one in the future.

Looks good, especially so for $2.40. Topic a China coo "M&H Purolator". The longer TL14610 I have, still made in US. Waiting to change a neighbor's and c&p, I'm curious. As for nitrile adbv, for the price about what on would/should expect. If you weren't getting a noticeable start up rattle, not that critical. Sad to say, but based on this topic filter if the TL14610 move same coo, 'strictly' for filter construction, it wouldn't be a bad thing.

Thanks for c&p. Nice first post!

Looks good and welcome to BITOG. What oil and filter went in and on?

Thank You

I bought a couple for $2.40, then they went up a lot in price. Made in India on mine, looked good and cut one open. Did a light spot test by holding media to a bright led light, using any kind of magnifier. Not too bad, about like a Toyota filter, maybe a little better. No matter, they are too much now. I still would rather spend a restaurant coffee more and get a higher filter.

Looks considerably better than many of Puro's other more expensive filters posted here. A real case of "less is more". (y)

And welcome.
I see lots of these at my work from other locations. Funny how the 10255 variant and PH 48 ones have Purolator crimped some end but redesigned baseplate. These are made in China.

Yes, not the typical Purolator design so mostly likely farmed out and the Purolator sticker is put on the can. Has big holes, which is typical for China made filters, and not filters actually made by Purolator.
