Are the Purolator red filters the same as the Classic just repackaged?

Red paint equals almost double the price; the was classic was $3.99, now they are over $6.

Yes, RED is the new WHITE.

If staying with the Purolator brand, step up to either:

BLUE/Purelator ONE(p.k.a PureONE)
BLACK/Purolator BOSS(p.k.a SYNTHETIC)

^^^Usually these filters can be had with an oil change special or upgraded from the RED for $2-$3 respectively.
