Purolator PureOne and PremiumPlus

Is there any difference between them. I'm planning to order a bunch of them over at Amazon and noticed there are two different purolator filters. However the PureOne (two pack) is priced higher than the PremiumPlus filters (also two pack). Is the premiumplus a cheapie purolator filter, even though "premium" is mentioned.

Pure One has a higher efficency score: 98% in multi-pass test.
Most filters are 96% or lower.

So if you want the best at cleaning the oil that would be your choice.

The Premium Plus are the regular filters and the Pure Ones are the top of the line filters made by Purolator.Thus, the Pure One filters better than the Premium Plus.

I'm not quite sure. I bought a Pure One air filter last night and it was in the normal box. I'll have to check the next time I go to Advance about the oil filters. I'm suspecting that they'll still have the regular boxes for a while because most of the morons around here just want the cheapest filter so the Pure Ones don't move very well but the garbage Frams sell very well.

Don't throw out your blue Pure Ones! Cherish them, for I think they will soon be missed! I'm definately not impressed with the contamination potential (or should I say, reality?) from the flaky gold coating of the new offering. See link below.

It would be nice if the grippy surface was just on the top like the frams, and not the whole dang can. But I have not used the new ones yet, as I have a bunch of the super cool looking blue ones still, so I cant say for sure how bad the new ones are so...

The Pure One has synthetic filter media (blueish color) while the Prem Plus has paper/cellulose filter media. If you want better filtration and longer oci, go with the P1. Otherwise, the PP are very good imo. I use them.
