Does your vehicle require one ?Purolator red filter. Is that supposed to be off center like that?
I'd say it's a big issue, the leaf spring appears to be offset at the bottom, so the bottom of the media stack isn't sealing against it, there's a gap. That's a big problem.Of course not ..... probably not an issue tho .
Maybe your right ..... I thought he was referring to the ADBV being off center . But yeah .... it looks like it's all off center . Not Good .I'd say it's a big issue, the leaf spring appears to be offset at the bottom, so the bottom of the media stack isn't sealing against it, there's a gap. That's a big problem.

Can't go wrong with the Premium Guard made microgard!Getting a refund on this filter. Went to O'Reilly and got a microguard.
China makes better filters than that by accident. I run from Purolator and Mann-Hummel filters.China 3/25/1895
Green New Design !!!That style of bypass valve/leaf spring assembly is installed backwards in that filter. Prongs should face the bottom of the can. The element is not sealed at all and would allow unfiltered oil to pass continuously.
Good catch ... yes, the leaf spring with bypass valve is backwards. Bypass valve won't work at all. And yes, the guts are probably loose too. Complete disaster. Hope it doesn't get sold to someone else. That style of bypass valve/leaf spring assembly is installed backwards in that filter. Prongs should face the bottom of the can. With the spring should be shaped it would be in permeant bypass if it's upside down.Good catch ... yes, the leaf spring with bypass valve is backwards. Bypass valve won't work at all. And yes, the guts are probably loose too. Complete disaster. Hope it doesn't get sold to someone else.
