I've been reading the BITOG post titled "List of Purolator failures" - https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/3360952/List_of_Purolator_failures and some people said they wished they had some higher-echelon contact information for Purolator. These folks wanted to "report" what seems to be a design flaw with some, many, or perhaps all Purolator filters. Below is a list of some e-mail addresses that I've gathered, starting with the President and CEO - Robert Malone. Source: http://www.parker.com/portal/site/PARKER...nextfmt=default and https://engineering.purdue.edu/MEP/Featu...p-success-story

[email protected] - President and CEO

[email protected] - Product Engineer. I think he used to work for Purolator, but I don't think he does any more. Check out the his patent information - http://patents.justia.com/inventor/travis-canup and http://www.freshpatents.com/Travis-CANUP-Fayetteville-invdirc.php

Oops...my mistake!

I've removed these addresses (I tested them to be wrong), but the ones I originally posted are valid!

It's a legitimate address, but I'll bet the one you found is also.

I'll be very interested to see what feedback any of the BITOG members get and will it actually cause Purolator to make any improvements???

I must admit, I was very close to trying one of their filters, but after all of the ugly stories BITOG members have, I won't even consider it now. That's a shame because I'm smart enough to know that some of the reported complaints probably aren't Purolator's fault - but you certainly can't discount tham all!

Purolator, as in [email protected], did respond on bitog and emails.
There have been so many canister-oil-filter Purolator failures documented here.
Put it this way, a police K-9 dog would sniff it and attack a Puro oil filter. Yep.

What Puro likely won't do is admit anything, nor say what they did to fix the issue. Cover their rear ends type of stuff, or ignore it and wait for the public to forget.

Here is an idea, harass a company that you dont even use anymore. That sounds like it will yeild all kinds of positive results.

After 60k miles on my Mazda with only Purolator PureOne filters I decided to switch and I bought a few Fram Tough Guards this weekend. There seems to be way too many occurrences of these tears so there is no sense in continuing to buy them when the Fram Tough Guards are the same price.

I still have 7-8 used PL10241s that had anywhere from 6-8k miles on them stashed for recycling. Maybe one of these days once the ice age retreats I'll cut them open In the spirit of research to see how many have torn.

Since everything lives forever on the internet, that would be a BAD business decision to not address the problem and HOPE it goes away! HA...that's not going to happen!

Look at all the Fram haters who lump all Fram's into the OCOD category!

Ed_Flecko, the proverbial cat has left the bag. This isn't the same as HillaryClinton-email damage control time. If they admit wrongdoing, they draw attention to it. If they ignore and quietly secretly fix the problem, thats the only thing left to do. Sad, I know.

Whats said is that a bunch of couch commandos will most likely bombard them with emails and make the rest of the BITOG community look like idiots. It is to the point where no one cares. If you like Purolator, use them. If not, use something else. Dont waste these peoples time with what will most definetely be hateful letters that will do absolutely nothing but be file 13'd and disregarded. Let me reiterate. Letters that will do N O T H I N G.

I agree. Thank you for your vote of confidence...

LOL ... I think the email address they want you to use is:

we.don'[email protected]

And the dudes who gave up on them have the email address of:

[email protected]
