that’s why i try to use them if i can’t find a wire backed fram. i dont trust non wire pleats from any producer to not fail. this guys lets his wife drive the truck sometimes and she is straight to drive and normal driving while still cold.

Boss filters look well made, this one no exception. Diesel oil, black for sure. Note you mention "wire" backed, assuming here meaning polymer backing? Imo, the latter every bit as good as wire. Looks like it got the job done.

Yes, MR. Zee09 you know exactly what it's like to dissent around here.
And @BrendanC is smart enough to see that there are not a whole lot of wire backed Fram options anymore. Except for the limited boutique filter shelf at WM. One of my biggest gripes.
