Hi guys,

I changed the oil and filter in my 04 350z 2 weeks ago with Mobil 0w-40 and a purolator boss from Advance Auto. I have put about 500 miles on it since and anytime I wait more than 20-30 mins to restart my car it takes 2-5 seconds for the oil pressure light to go out. I'm a field rep for work so I start my car about 10-15 times per day. Prior to this change I had a fram ultra and do not recall experiencing this problem. Would this be indicative of a bad ADBV? and if so how big of a deal is it? should I change it out right away or is it insignificant? Thanks in advance!

Does sound like a leaky ADBV. Wouldn't need to change the filter out instantly, but if you're leery about it then I'd put a different filter on the car and see what happens.

Welcome to Bitog fellow NY'er! 500 miles on the filter. I'd swap it with a Mobil 1 or Fram Ultra filter, and complain to Purolator, their quality sucks lately. Maybe more complaints will wake them up!

Thanks for showing love guys I've been lurking around here for a while but never had any reason to post. From everything I've seen recently it seems like purolator has fallen out of favor. @aquarius Thanks! All the UOA's I was able to find seem to agree so it's really a no brainer to go with the 40wt since it costs the same.
