any one here ,use it or heard of it?i was wandering through big lots today and they had a 2 four foot sections of shelves stocked with this stuff.i nearly passed it by as the first bottle my eyes stopped on was ND30 for $1.50,nd 40,10w30,10w40 and i think a 15w40 were all $1.50.then i spied one solitary row of bottles marked $2.00,a 5w30 syn blend.so i grabbed 5 quarts.an o/c in the future.meets sm,sl,sj,sh, ilsac gl-4/gl-3
i may go back and grab some of the reg weights for my mother in law's crown vic.

I noticed the 5W-20 says "Syn- Blend" and the others don't...

well i have 5 qts of 5w30 .so i guess it was not included in the publicity shot.so it might be worth a visit to big lots just to see if it is there.
 
I picked up a few of 5w30 quarts a few weeks ago that were rated SL. Stopped in today, and they had more that were rated SM. Both say Syn-blend. Does it realy matter? SL in winter, and SM for summer? What do you think?
 
Does anyone know who makes it? I've never seen it before today, but picked up just one quart at Big Lots to bring home and research. Bottle has the "hand pouring" logo on the neck (WPP?), bottom says "C16" on the left, followed by a #2 HDPE recycle symbol, and three concentric letter "C"s on the right. Possible lot number stamped in small, dark dot matrix ink near the barcode, reads "OSPH1492333"
