you mean you have this one??I got a few Astro or something from Amazon, the ones with AAA batteries, like them, they show almost same pressure and accurate enough. Batteries are easy to change and I use rechargeable.

Pencil gauges (piston plunger) have their shortcomings, says Milton.I am an old skool Milton pencil gauge guy.
...All of our dial tire gauges are ANSI Commercial Grade B gauges (meets ANSI B40.1 Grade B specifications). Unlike piston-plunger-type gauges, the bourdon tube movement is not affected by changes in temperature, humidity, altitude or air stream contaminants...
They have worked fine for me for many years...Now I dont buy the 1 or 2 dollar ones...but there are many good ones for around 8 to 10 bucks...I have the Milton S 925 model..Pencil gauges (piston plunger) have their shortcomings, says Milton.

Can replace the battery . The VICTOR in picture above still works great . The new SPORT is 0.1 increments and the old VICTOR is 0.5 increments . Like the newer tire pressure gauge better for readings .I had something like that but was the Slime brand. works great.. then the battery went dead and I reverted to a mechanical gage , so its like everything.. its great but it has a weakness.
yeah... I know... but I own more than one tire gage and it just wasn't worth it to fix.. I think I paid 5 bucks for the gage. Can replace the battery . The VICTOR in picture above still works great . I have the same, but the one with the hose (my wheel/valve stem layout is stupid haha). Fantastic purchase, imo. Works great, lifetime warranty. The problem is calibration. I used a Walmart one for a year and was getting irritated the bmw dealer kept lowering the pressure of my tires. Then I compared 2 other gauges and I was overinflating by almost 3 psi.
Funny my Jaco that goes to 0.1. I compared it last Thu to when the costco pump said 38. Gauge said 38.0–costco pump was spot on. Also good is that I will find all 4 of my tires to 0.3 of one another, weeks later. When my tires were new that gauge caught 1/4 tires losing 0.5 to 1 psi per month (all 3 others same). Was a bead leak on the new tire as old rim. Does pay to measure
I think it’s worth it, it’s not like we buy one every year. Likely every 10.

Either:what do you do when you compare 4 or 5 gages and get 4 or 5 different readings?![]()
