i would think it would not matter as its pretty easy to check the condition of brake fluid with test strips in the car or in the bottle. i have tested brake fluid from an open container after a couple of years and it was like new

You could add blanket gas to an open brake fluid container. Heavier than air, the gas will settle above the fluid and prevent contact with air during prolonged storage
