I'm gonna wake up the motorcycle & scooter this weekend...gonna have 'fun' remounting the battery and repacking the fuses & relays back under the seat of the Yamaha V Star, inflating the tires, starting it up, spraying in some carb cleaner to remove the fogging oil, and taking a nice ride to warm the engine and cook out any condensation in the oil! I'm planning to change out my 'storage' oil in April (put Auto Zone 10w-40 in for storage while I shopped around for good quality oil) with Suzuki Boulevard V Twin 10w-40 synthetic blend motorcycle oil;

the scooter is stored inside the patio, so the 'fun' part will be squeezing it thru the door after I move the motorcycle out of the way; she got used after the mtorcycle was winterized so the fogging oil is already gone...mount battery, inflate tires, start her up, and take a nice long ride (being a 2-stroke no oil changes -- had transmission done last year before storage so she's good to go for the season);

first scooter event is a local St Patty's Day parade on Saturday, March 16th with the local scooter club; first organized motorcycle ride is a Red Knights sponsered event to deliver stuffed animal toys to children in local hospitals on March 30th...glad to be getting back on 2 wheels!

Cool. Too much snow here on the ground to even think of biking right now, but next weekend might be a slight possibility. If I'm in town, I'll certainly consider taking the bike out.

Gonna be in the 60s in Central Virginia. I fired up my hog the other day to charge the battery a lil bit. Today I will check the air in the tires and do some minor adjustments.

What kind of scoot do you ride?

I have a couple. My two favorites are my 1986 Elite 250 and my 2008 Honda Ruckus.

I "borrowed" most of the gas in my BM to run the genset during the last "tormenta" which knocked out the "House of Cards" National Grid system again, but still have enough left to get to thestation. Yup, the genset liked the "93".

the motorcycle fired up quickly and smelled bad as it burned out the fogging oil I put in prior to storage...ran it 15 miles on Saturday and over 85 miles on Sunday;

the scooter also fired up quick, but got a bit finicky on restarts after several stops on Saturday (guess it's more sensitive to old gas & ethanol stabilizer)...ran it over 40 miles on Saturday and @ 10 miles on Sunday;

topped both off with fresh gas and hopefully that'll cut the amount of ethanol stabilizer I used prior to storage...
