properties of Power Steering Fluid

Anybody know if Power Steering Fluid has any corrosive properties? Got a bunch on my paint yesterday… engine bay and outside.

It is a Honda and the PS Fluid is genuine Honda Fluid… if that matters any.

I would clean off anything that you spill on your paint, but I don't foresee any real problems.

my chilton book warns to keep ps fluid away from paint.

It is similar to or is ATF though some Honda PS oil is model specific I do not know exactly which. Rinse it off, there will be no problem

Its basically hydraulic fluid, cannot imagine it would have any corrosive properties.

Empirically, I can state that it is nowhere near brake fluid when it comes to paint!

Of course, we have to get it off any surface it is not supposed to be on anyway.
