Proper Container for Antifreeze Storage

My left over antifreeze mix usually gets stored in an empty distilled water gallon container. It's HDPE2 just like the antifreeze container, so I figure it's alright. The problem is that the water jugs I use always seem to start leaking. Is there a problem with the container I'm storing the fluid in? I'm afraid of plastic winding up in my engine...

Yes, those containers are made of cheap thin plastic. I used to store used oil in them until I got fed up with them leaking. Now I use laundry detergent containers.
