Propane vs gas for 10kw generator

I have a Westinghouse 9500 but it's not a dual-fuel version. Did I read somewhere that below a certain temperature the generator still needs to be started with gas and then switched over to propane while running?

Not sure - have never poured any gasoline in the tank. Put the valve on propane day 1 - and so far that’s all to ever reach the motor. Just received a NG kit … and will soon tie that in for a trail run …
Been in the same house since 1996 and not a day without NG

Just an update here - still have not put a drop of gasoline in the tank - starts easily on propane …
changed my mind on the NG kit because where I have it is not fully purged - and I know propane burns cleaner.
Also picked up this little guy to gauge my active tank …

Sure...but forklifts have modified engines from factory....because they are planed to run purely on CNG/LPG....

Valves and valve seats are hardened and of different alloy then their gas driven counterparts....

But here we have regular OPE converted to CNG/LPG...

Tell, me about any modern engines and running on unleaded gasoline?

I see so many people that talk about running out of fuel during an outtage and then you find out that they were running their generator at full load 24/7 . No attempt to conserve .

Sure...but forklifts have modified engines from factory....because they are planed to run purely on CNG/LPG....

because higher cr does benefit on gasses. but it would suck bad on gasoline
latest dual fuel car engines are same, same parts.

it does exist winter/summer lpg. just the p/b ratio changes.
if in doubt, "bbq" cylinders are here sold with red mark. propane only (-43f). more octane....i´ve been thinking how to pump that into car
