Good Morning folks. Filter and Providence brand 5w40 Synthetic HDEO was off the lady’s new to her 18’ KIA Forte base model car. Unknown miles as we bought it off her uncle.

In/on: Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w40 and another Prime Guard 4459 since they are $2.99 at Rural King. 28k on car also.

Whats the planned OCI? These Hyundai/Kia engines get ring sticking. I wouldn't go more than 4K personally. Check dipstick often to see if it's blowing any oil by.

Yeah, gonna go 3,400 and sample and keep checking oil. I’d say your right 4k be tops.

Thanks! Looks like another PG made filter. These guys sure make a lot of filters! Got to be a massive world wide manufacturer. Quality continues to be impressive even on the jobber filters.

Thanks for the c&p. Really good quality filter for that price and great oil choice for that engine. Most importantly is she able to transfer the full new warranty from her uncle to her so that way she doesn't get the downgraded 5y 60k warranty. If that's not possible keep the car titled and registered in his name unless it's allowed for her to be co registered (depends on the state I think) so the full warranty stays but she's the only person on the insurance that pays for it and the inspection along with everything else.

I just did some research. Prime Guard oil filters are marketed / made by Highline Warren LLC in China. The same Warren that makes Super Tech, Costco, Amazon, and more oil. You can buy directly from their website evidently.
