Prestone Extended life and Prestone Dex-Cool?

Has anyone else noticed that the ingredients listed in each coolant are idendical?

I have used the Extended life (Yellow) with good results, but if they're the same why not use Dex-Cool (red/orange) as it's easier to see in the overflow tank and would be more obvious if you had a leak...

If you had good results with Prestone Extended Life (All Makes - All Models) why not continue using it ? Specially if it costs less.

I don't understand how they can truly be "All makes, all models" when each auto maker seems to have different requirements for coolant.

The extended life and Dexcool are the same. If you want a more visible dye that's a good reason to pay the extra for the Dexcool version.

I see in their FAQ section that it says the Ex-Life is approved by General Motors under their DEX-COOL® specifications and is compatible with other DEX-COOL® approved coolants.
