We have a Honda XR2750 pressure washer that starts up great, but my Dad called me today and told me it was not pumping any water, so the pump is bad. Do I buy a new pump, or is it too expensive, and I have too ditch the machine. Is there any lubrication inside these pumps, any advice would be appreciated.

I have the XR2500 and a few years ago when winter rolled around I forgot to put in the pump antifreeze and the water inside froze and cracked the pump housing. I bought a new pump for $180. That was cheaper than a new machine.

Years ago, I replaced the ceramic pistons and check valves on an old cam operated pressure washer pump, for not much money. If the problem with your pump is wear induced, rather than breakage, you can probably replace the worn parts. But that is contingent on being able to identify the pump and then finding if the parts are available.

Yes there is oil inside the pump but it doesn't sound like changing it would solve your problem. In my limited experience the engines far outlast the pumps as folk identify the quality of the unit based on the engine and the manufacturers cheap out on the pump. Pumps are pretty interchangable and I suggest checking the engine's shaft diameter, pump bolt pattern and getting a replacement Cat or General pump.
The oil depends on what manufacturer/model pump you have and could be ND30, gear oil, or some secret stuff you have to get from the manufacturer.
