Fairly straightforward usually a simple bolt off & bolt on affair. Need to make sure there is physical space for new pump and correct orientation (vertical or horizontal engine.) Have to make sure you get appropriate pump for engine shaft size.

Anything < $200 is probably not worth buying unless you found a bargain. Brand is not very important as MOST homeowner grade stuff is contracted out to the lowest bidder, likely a factory in a low cost country who makes many models for many brands. Personally, I'd put more consideration in reviews and warranty than brand.
Harbor Freight machines are decent value, the ones I looked at used pumps that looked a lot better built than the cheap Ryobi, Lowes and Home Depot stuff. Good reviews for a machine in the $300 range.
