It just turned over 128,000 miles. All of the issues I had were handled under warranty- smoking turbo, VVT actuator, and a front strut- all prior to 60,000 miles. Since then no issues whatsoever. Go figure. I'm interested to see if there is a Mazdaspeed variant of the new 3. I would hope so.

Koni does make adjustable Sports for the MS3, but I talked at length with a Koni engineer who has a 2008 MS3 and he advised going with the FSDs since I didn't plan on lowering the car. My first choice was Bilstein Sports, but I couldn't justify the extra expense in this application- although I do have Bilsteins on my Jeep and '02.

Koni FSDs made my buddy's mom's E46 325i ride like a modern 7-Series. No exaggeration. My jaw was on the floor the whole ride. I can't imagine picking a different aftermarket damper for a car on stock springs (unless FSDs aren't available).

I've heard nothing but good things about them; I'll post an evaluation once I get them installed.

What's he going to do with all that money? Take it to the grave with him? One of the reasons for saving money is so that you can eventually enjoy it, hopefully before you're still able to.

Nothing wrong with having a few bucks left over to leave to your children.
