have a question of educated frankenbrewing for a '19 Suzuki S40 (LS650 Savage); I have a leftover gallon of Citgo Citgard 700 synthetic blend 10w-30 'heavy duty' oil (ck-4 rated) that is NOT energy conserving/resource conserving; I have included pics of product & properties...

what can I mix with in a 1:1 ratio to make an acceptable 10w-40 lubricant (recommended weight for this motorcycle)? prefer to use conventional or synblend for less cost; thanks...

Just buy the oil you need and run the 10w-30 in your lawnmower or similar
I do not own OPE & my car takes 0w-20 flavored water 😉

tried swapping with a few friends...they either run lighter or heavier oils for their stuff...

well...done mixing of leftover 10w-40 & 15w-40 oils in past for use in scoots & common sump metric bikes; I am asking for SPECIFIC recommendations based upon guru knowledge for a good recipe...

have a nice day...

Mix some with that 0W-20 for the car to get more HTHS (1 to 4 ratio), or give it away. Buy some Valvoline 10W-40 motorcycle oil (JASO rated) at Walmart for a bit over $6/qt.

Going from a shear resistant 10w-30 to shear proof 10w-40 using syn-blend or conventional? Nothing i know of. Something like Mobil 1 15w-50 might bump it up though. It's at least 1 quart Mobil to your gallon of Citgo. 1:1 would work, too. There's no guarantee that this will be 10w.

For that air cooled lump I'd run 15w40 or 20w50 dino oil and be done since the bike has a 3,500 mile recommended OCI. This came up in another thread recently you started about this bike.

at the behest of multiple voices in this thread I am using leftover Amsoil 15w-40 synthetic (I got a few years ago for a scoot) & new production Super Tech 10w-40 conventional pcmo as a 1:1 ratio mix...at least the first oil change I do
