Power Steering Pump

I have a 2007 Kia Spectra Ex with 52k on it. The power steering started making a noise when pulling the steering wheel to the extreme left and right. I replaced the power steering pump and bled the link with Kia PSF-3 Fluid. The car is still making the noise. What else could it be beside the belt? Rack and pinion?

I had a similar problem on my focus. It ended up being a hairline crack in the PS reservoir letting air in.

When you say extreme to left and right, are you going to the stops?

Good question........? That would make a noise on any power steering pump vehicle.

Correct as far to the left or right as it turns. I'm wondering if I have a bad pulley or harmonic balancer?

It's probably fine. Any hydraulic steering system will make noise if you put it against the stops...which IMHO should not be done.
