Power Steering Fluid (chevy) vs ATF (ford, toyota)

My Chevy specs PSF so I used Valvoline MaxLife Power Steering Fluid, so far with good results. I am about to change out a Tundra which specs Dexron III and a Crown Vic which specs Mercon. Can I use Valvoline Maxlife Dex/Merc for both of these? Or is there another fluid or two I should try instead

yes, no. Any ATF with a Dex/Mercon rating will be fine. You can even use this in your gm. All it is, is hydralic oil in the correct viscosity. I previously worked at a Toyota dealer, and sometimes we used powersteering fluid, and other times we used atf. It makes no difference in most vehicles. The only time you need to be careful is in Honda's, or VW's (and their subsidiearies), or any other manufacturer that specs mineral oil for the powersteering. Mineral oil is not compatible with regular fluid, or atf.
