So i've got an older car, roughly 23 years old.

Im refreshing the brake system, entirely.

New lines, Master Cylinder, Fluid, Rebuilt Calpiers, Brake Pads, Rotors, etc.

The one item in the air is the power brake booster, I can get one from the manufacture for roughly 700 bucks, uninstalled.

Or I can get a Cardone version for 140...I dont want [censored] parts on this car, its really important to me.

So give me your input please.

(Not to say Cardone is bad, no experience with them.)
Thanks!

Thanks for the input!

While it may be a simple device I wouldn't want one to fail on me under heavy load or while in bumper to bumper traffic.

It sounds like i'll go the Cardone route.

The worst that will happen is that the pedal will go into manual mode, with no assist.
But no way would I pay $700+ fora a brake booster!!
There is not much there.
Get a new check valve, BTW.
