I wish I could say that about my SKS! Mines a little beat up and I need to replace the entire rear sight. Its bent! Luckily I have a scope for it so I dont exactly NEED the iron sights. Needs replacing regardless! Love the SKS.

Well, just made a deal with a co-worker to trade the Kimber + some cash for an AR-15 and a 686.

No. I don't have the grenade launcher on my yugo. Instead it has a very nice muzzle break. If I knew how to post pics on here Id gladly show you.

Those are impressive examples of a finish mosin nagant

The Finnish rifles have much nicer triggers and are more accurate than the Russian Mosin Nagants, but they are quite a bit heavier, especially the M39.

Wow I am truely jelous of your collection. Im glad you appreciate some russian surplus though. Just added a Bulgarian Makarov to my collection today.

Cool! Those Bulgarian Makarovs are a great buy right now.

I really like the Makarov pistols, too. I've got an East German example (1961) that is a pleasure to shoot. A little snappy but very compact and accurate.

My favorite Bulgarian firearm is this AKM74 in the 5.45x39 caliber. It's pretty accurate for a Kalashnikov and has almost no recoil. The strange muzzle brake/flash hider does a fantastic job of keep the rifle on target.

Makarov's and CZ-82's are an amazing buy. I paid $230 for mine. Its going to be a sad day when the surplus drys up. But hopefully something will take its place. I need to pick up at least 1 CZ-82 before they're gone. I was holding a nice East German Makarov today and its was a little beauty!! Too bad it wasnt for sale... Thats a good looking AK! I havent had the pleasure of shooting a 5.45x39 yet but its on my wishlist.

I bought my CZ82 from Southern Ohio Guns back in 2008 for $200. It came with the accessories shown in the photo. It's a great shooter and maybe a little more comfortable to shoot than the Makarov due to the larger grip.

Here's my East German Makarov. It has the early style lanyard attachment in the bottom of the grip and is an ex-LSA pistol. The LSA(Landespolizei Sachsen-Anhalt) marking means that it was pressed into police service in 1990 after the fall of the Wall due to a shortage of modern SIGs. When it was eventually sold as surplus, the LSA mark had to be removed. I enjoy learning about the history associated with the firearms almost as much as shooting them!

Wow that Makarov is in good shape! Very little holster wear! It is fun learning about the historical significance of the markings.
