Having multiple issues with our 2014 Porsche cayenne. Has right at 105k miles and a bunch of issues seemed to have popped up all at once. I also seem to be losing a little bit of oil (not leaking ), as I just had to add a qt

Car idles a little rough and seems to fluctuate idle speeds. I did clean the TB and air flow sensor last night, but it doesn't appear to have helped

Car is also having the cooling fan run at extremely high speed all the time, and now i have picked up a squeal/whining noise from front of motor

check engine light is displayed and pulled the following codes

P307800 - Throttle valve control unit - air throughout idle too low
P050700 - idle control speed above setpoint
P218900- Fuel metering system - System too lean at idle speed
P218700- Bank 1 fuel metering system - System too lean at idle speed.

also had a low oil pressure code (i deleted it before writing it down). This scares me a little. Hoping its maybe a just a faulty switch but not sure with everything else going on and the noise. When I drove car pressure appeared ok according to factory gauge.

Here is a link to video of noise from front of motor. I cant tell if its from the belt or pulleys or if its internal?

Check for vacuum leaks and see if doing a readaptation of the throttle body helps. That noise maybe a busted diaphragm in the pcv valve/oil separator whistling which may introduce unmetered air into the system causing the lean conditions

Check the PCV valve (incorporated in the valve cover). Get close to the square end (opposite of the oil fill opening) and see if you hear the whistling.

You may want to look into maybe replacing the intake manifold gasket. If I remember correctly it isn't even bolted down. The manifold is just attached to a bracket that simply holds it against the cylinder head. I think this is a common point of failure with age and a very good place for a big vacuum leak. Also easy to do since it isn't even bolted down.

Thanks for all the help!

Does this look like correct part? Trying to find it locally but no luck Going to call vw dealer

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I didn't realize that even though this porsche has a VW 3.6, that the intake is different on the Porsche. SO it takes even more work to get to the PCV, since the entire intake has to come off.

Thanks to RooflessVW again for pointing me in right direction. The rennlist writeup was a huge help and saved a bunch of time

I ordered the external PCV setup and hose , and converted over following the steps on rennlist. I did see a few complaints about the new hose collapsing, so I added an aluminum tube inside the hose to keep this from happening.

I have cleared all codes and so far everything is driving perfect and noise is gone. Idle has returned to normal. Hopefully this setup will be ok long term. That is my only concern if leaving the original PCV valve in place would somehow put too much restriction on the system?
