Porsche 996 cup Amsoil SVG?

Not in that same application, but our local porsche club has a lot of guys that run Amsoil motor oils, and race on them with success.

What speccs does it call for? I was always under the impression that the GL4 fluids were better for brass. Porsche may be different.

....I did a quick search on the Amsoil site, and it looks like theyre suggesting the OEM fluid be used. On that car, at those temps, I'd be hesitant straying from factory fill.

Just my 2 cents, but it's only worth that!

Tell me more about the application, the years, etc.

What viscosity is specified?

For the record SVG = 75W-90 and SVT = 75W-110

2005 996 GT3 Cup full factory race car...been running factory fill, Delvac 1 75w90...no complaints there but I've run the SVT in my old 911's and it shifts nicely and quieted down the transaxle.

If you want to kick the viscosity up just a tad then the SVT would be perfect.

I've never used devlac gear oil however I have used Amsoil and it was the only gear oil I would use in my mustangs and 4x4s,until I discovered redline.
Honestly though Jim Allen is the gear oil guru. The guy has temp gauges in the diffs of his trucks, that's taking it to a whole new level.
Holler at him.
I've never seen Pablo lead anyone in a wrong direction either though so if he says your good to go with something I believe him.
