Props to Porsche for simplifying this mild-hybrid drive. By using electric turbochargers there are no wastegates and they use them to recharge the battery.

Whiteboard explaination is always more informative.

As I look at those cut aways and it reinfoces that I don't want to be on the hook for repair bills on those cars.

My Brother in law has owned numerous Porsches, most of them 911 Turbo S models. He is just waiting to take delivery of his 911 Turbo S Hybrid. That means he'll likely offer me his old car, which in this case is a '23 Turbo S. As he always does when the new toy arrives. I'll consider it, but I don't need another car, and it is the PDK transmission, which is less appealing to me.

I only know one person who would buy this. A former boss I meet up with occasionally who has a 911 Dakar and Taycan Turbo S in his stable.

Hope to get a ride.

Needs a manual transmission or a dog box transmission. Sigh a hybrid. Supposedly Porsche said they couldn't "Integrate" the manual transmission with the hybrid. Manual transmissions are still 25ish percent of buyers. The GT3 was given a manual transmission in the USA and Canada over a $12k case of wine. Porsche GT3 GMBH said no way would manual transmissions make up more than a 5% take rate. The GT3 has a 75% manual transmission take rate.
