Poor Steering Return from Right

I have just noticed this, have no idea how long this has been going on: On a flat surface: When I turn to the left, the steering wheel will return to the perfect center position; but when I turn right, the steering wheel will return to about 20 degrees to the right of perfect center.

If I turn it to perfect center, the car is straight as an arrow, and the steering wheel will stay there.

This is a 2002 Camry SE, with 80K, all original suspension / steering parts. 7400 mi on new tires and alignment. Tire pressures perfectly even side to side.

What can be the problem?

What about it? Clogged, worn, otherwise damaged? Am I looking at immediate replacement? Is repair an option? How long can I sit on this?

With info you've provided, I agree with mechtech2.

Probably as cheap to replace as to repair. Or cheaper.

If that was the only symptom, I'd ck it for leaks, and keep driving.

A rebuild is the cheapest, and is what I would do.
But you can jack the front end of the car up, or get it on a rack and see how she responds or pulls with no load.
This will eliminate any suspension component.
