2021 xp1000 I have been using Amsoil polaris 5w50 oils but use the last quart in the case now I need to make decisions.
1. Do I stay with Amsoil or change to Amalie UTV which is $50 a case cheaper and higher rated.
2. Do I stick with a utv/atv oil which is made for wet transmissions which the ranger does NOT have.
3. If I goto non ATV oil do I stick with amsoil signature or goto castrol edge or Amalie elixer all would be same 5w-50 oil.

1) what makes Amalie "higher rated" than Amsoil?
2) it won't matter in your application
3) Any of those would work

Despite Polaris's recommendations, I've seen folks run a variety of lubes in their engines. 5w-40 works well, and is far easier to find. I would agree that you don't need an ATV specific lube, as the wet-clutch topic isn't in play here. What I would focus on is a lube with a good, strong HTHS rating; something that resists shearing.
